Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. (OOCL) is thrilled to announce the latest addition to its fleet, the "OOCL Zeebrugge," marking the fifth eco-friendly vessel in a series of twelve, boasting a capacity of 24,188 TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units). The vessel's christening ceremony took place at the Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (NACKS) shipyard. Ms. SHI Lei, Deputy General Manager of SUMEC CORPORATION LIMITED and Chairwoman of SUMEC Machinery & Electric Co., Ltd, had the honor of naming the vessel. The ceremony witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, including valued customers and esteemed business partners.
Mr. Kenny YE, Chief Operating Officer of OOCL, shared his thoughts during the ceremony, stating, "Our interim results affirm the resilience of OOCL's business operations in dynamic markets. The OOCL Zeebrugge is set to operate on the Asia-Europe LL3 loop line alongside her sister vessels - the OOCL Spain, OOCL Piraeus, OOCL Turkiye, and OOCL Felixstowe. The vessel's port rotation includes the following key ports:
