Post cyclone it had a huge impact on trade and reported commercial losses along with assets. The shipping trade is suffering from downtime, delays and operational challenges.


Turnaround time has hit all-time high and is still ongoing, for offloading the loaded containers at the terminal it is taking 10-12 hours of time once trucks are reported at terminal checkpoints.





Moreover, allotment of containers also hit as it takes 12-14 hours again so to complete the cycle, it takes 4 to 5 days, which was usually a 1 2- days task.




Terminals are congested, the port area is congested, and roads are congested and full of traffic. Situations will get normal for up to 2 to 3 weeks. Export trade and its members like shippers, customs agents, logistics partners, truckers, and forwarding agents are making losses somewhere due to delays and congestion.
