Letter from ISS Shipping-Sydney

Issued on 16 Mar 20

Article original: PGA Member M/s ISS Shipping Sydney

Dear Partners,

ISS SHIPPING is committed to prioritising the health, safety and welfare of all of our customers, employees, visitors and partners. To this point we are currently undertaking specific actions across every site as part of the execution of our business continuity plan, during these dynamic times. These include restricting access of non-ISS personnel to all office locations, excluding warehouse operations. All warehouse personnel are in the process of being issued with safety gloves along with mandatory, regular application of sanitizing gel. We are closely monitoring the situation and are following the guidance from the World Health Organisation and local health authorities across the country.

Currently, all of our sites are operating on a business as usual basis in accordance with the current health advice. As part of our preparation we have tested plans for remote working, as well developed plans for working split rosters. The situation is difficult to forecast with any degree of certainty, and therefore our plans will adapt as required to any changes in advice from the relevant health authorities.

Our operating network is designed and operated to be concurrently maintainable, ensuring reliability and flexibility, without affecting day to day operations. We continue to liaise with our service partners to identify any potential areas of risk in service delivery. Our operations teams have reviewed their contingency plans with an emphasis on ensuring that we maintain critical services. Each site has access to secondary handling facilities as well as the majority of staff being able to work remotely, should we have a disruption to our day to day operations.

Any staff member who may have, been in close contact with people who have travelled to any countries listed by local health authorities or the World Health Organisation as requiring self-isolation have been requested not to return to work until they have completed the recommended 14 day self-isolation period.

We appreciate your cooperation and apologise for any inconvenience that these measures may cause, but please be assured that the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers, employees, visitors and partners, is our overriding priority.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further guidance to this evolving situation as necessary.

If you have any further questions, please contact myself or your local customer service contact.

best regards,

Zoran Ilic - Managing Director

best regards,

Zoran Ilic - Managing Director
