Global sales for exported automotive parts or accessories from all countries totaled US$339.8 billion in 2020. Overall, the value of auto parts exports dropped by an average -6.2% for all exporting countries since 2016 when auto parts shipments were valued at $362.4 billion.

From 2019 to 2020, the value of globally exported automotive parts or accessories fell by -14%.

The top 5 exporters (Germany, United States, China, Japan, Mexico) accounted for 51.3% of the total value of all exported automobile parts and accessories in 2020.

Among continents, European countries sold the highest dollar worth of automotive parts exports during 2020 with shipments valued at $164.9 billion or 48.5% of the global total. Second-place Asia supplied 29.9% followed by North American shipments at 20.3%.

Smaller percentages came from Latin America (0.6%) excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean, Africa (0.5%) and Oceania (0.2%) led by Australia.
