Dongguan bonded logistics centre becomes operational soon

THE Dongguan-Port Bonded Logistics Centre (B-type) has completed construction, and will be officially open before the end of the month, reports Logistics Week.

The centre, at Humen Port, was constructed by the government of Dongguan and the Customs Administration. It aims to integrate the functions of bonded warehouses and export-supervised warehouses.

The planning area of warehouse project is 300,150 square metres and the warehousing area is 240,000 square metres. The complementary construction of an 80,000 square metre warehouse and yard area is to be completed in the first half of 2010.

"The rental for the warehouse will be priced according to that of other industrial parks," said Liu Ning the deputy executive director of the Humen Port Administrative Committee. Mr Liu also revealed that special support will be given to the first group of enterprises in the industrial park.
